No ticket yet

Start as a trades assistant. On the tools with people who teach you. We sort the tickets.

Mechanic to heavy diesel. Electrician to HV. The trade transfers. You need time on the machines and someone to back you.

Choosing your next

What do I get back?

WHAT WE GIVE YOU

You bring the ambition. Our half is simple: make you good at this, keep you working, and get you where you want to go.

  • family owned since 2004

Small enough to really care, established enough to keep the jobs running.

  • always available for you

You're an ambitious person with goals. We know who you are and always available for you.

  • your start with us is just that. only the start.

Trades assistant to apprentice. Mechanic to heavy diesel. We'll help you upskill to keep moving up.

  • You Do The Work, We Do The Paperwork

Standard 11, coal board medical, inductions, renewals, timesheets, pay. Let us handle the admin.

  • Flexible Rosters, And Extra Work If You Want It

Rosters flex where the site allows. Shutdown work on top if you want more.

  • Ask Us Anything And Get A Straight Answer

We'll always tell it to you straight, and expect the same in return.

  • We Want The Site Asking For You Next Swing

When you're sent by DAC, it means something.

What about home?

A family business
knows you have one.

Parent, partner, or the mate everyone rings first. We know what comes first in life.

An excavator and a drill rig working a quarry face at dusk

Nobody can hand you a reputation. But DAC puts you where you can build one.

Not from a job ad, and not from us telling you so. From going back to the same crews until they know your work, and from being worth more every time you do.

What else do people ask?

The questions we get asked.

Do I need mining experience?

No. Trades assistants start with no ticket and no mining experience, and trade qualified people cross over from other industries every year. What you need is the trade or the willingness, and the ability to turn up when you said you would.

Do I need a Standard 11 and a coal board medical before I apply?

No. If you do not hold them, we'll help you get it sorted. Apply first and we will tell you what you are missing.

What tickets do you arrange?

Standard 11, coal board medical, site inductions and portal registrations, and we track renewals so a ticket does not lapse without anyone noticing. Tell us where you want to end up and we work out which tickets get you there.

Where are the jobs?

Australian mining, quarry, port, civil and agricultural operations, all run out of the Mackay office.

How long does it take to get on site?

It depends on what you already hold and what the site needs. If your tickets are current it can be quick. If we have to book a medical and an induction it takes longer, and we will tell you roughly how long rather than leave you guessing.

Can I apply if my tickets have lapsed?

Yes. Lapsed tickets are an administrative problem, not a character flaw. Send your details through and say what has expired.

Who reads my application?

The coordinator who rosters our crews, in the Mackay office. The same person who would put you on a job, which is the point of having one office and one crew list. Not a software, not a call centre. If it fits we ring you, and either way you hear back.

Send it through.

02

we do hiring in-house

Never a third-party recruiter, a software or a call-centre. That's why family-owned matters.

03

You hear back

Either way you hear back from us, and if it fits we ring you.
