What the work is

• Field maintenance where the machine stands, not where it would be convenient.
• Scheduled servicing, the kind that stops an unplanned breakdown becoming an unplanned outage.
• Breakdown response, including the ones that come in at three in the morning.
• Component changeouts and rebuilds. Finals, wheel groups, engines, transmissions.
• Shutdown windows, worked to a scope and demobilised cleanly.

What you need

• Trade qualification. Heavy diesel, or a mechanical trade you can transfer across.
• Time on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi or Liebherr earthmoving.
• An open driver licence.
