Service Person

It is the best view of a mine site anyone gets, and it is one of the shortest roads from no trade to a trade if that is where you want to end up.

What the work is

• Scheduled servicing on haul trucks, dozers, excavators, loaders and ancillary fleet.
• Fuel, oil, coolant, grease and filters, recorded properly so the next service is right.
• Running the service truck, including its own checks and its own housekeeping.
• Working alongside a fitter on a changeout or a breakdown when the job needs two.
• Tyre and rim support work where the site allows it.

What you need

• An HR licence is preferred. Tell us if you do not have one yet.
• Servicing heavy earthmoving gear is looked on favourably.
• Methodical. On a service run, the person who cuts a corner is found out three weeks later.
• Standard 11 and a coal board medical. If you do not hold them, we arrange everything.
• An open driver licence.
